it's sunday. susan got up early in the morning and called her colleague jane to go to the library together. she wants to learn more about economics. now they are in the library.

susan: i'm sorry to make you get up so early, jane.

susan: you majored in economics. recently i am very interested in international economy. can you recommend me some reference books to read?

jane: sure, my pleasure. this internationaleconomics is useful for you to get the knowledge about the economy. you may read it.

jane: oh, i find it, the introduction to international economics. the book iscompiled by dominick salvatore, who has come out 35 works about economy.

susan: it sounds very useful.

sarah joins an english training class and is talking with her colleague about it.

jane: what are you studying all day for? we are rather tired after work every day.

sarah: i know! but you know my oral english is extremely poor. i want to improve it. so i have to join a training class.

jane: what have you learned from the training course?

sarah: can you see any improvement of my speaking?

sarah: i am impelled by circumstances, so i have to. therefore, i'm trying to learn more skills. it makes me more qualified for the present job.

jane: oh, i have benefited a lot from your words.

after lunch, sue and maggie decide to wander about the bookstores because they heard that some new books are on the market.

sue: yi zhongtian's books are best-sellers now. i heard that his new book has just appeared in the stores. i really like his books very much.

maggie: me too. i thought history is a drag before and i hated to read history books, but somehow i like it now.

sue: he covers historical subjects in such a way that is both neoteric and expressive.

sue: yeah. i also got the news that professor yi zhongtian was going to sign his new book at the wangfujing book store. hurry up, or we won't get a book with his signature. maybe his books have been all sold out.
